2017 Racial Harmony Day

The centre celebrated Racial Harmony Day on 18 July 2017. The theme for this year celebration is about the different wedding cultures of the various races. The teachers prepared the materials such as wedding invitations, foods, songs, costumes that are used during the different wedding ceremonies as well as pictures to help the children understand better during the celebration. The children were dressed in different traditional costumes and they enjoyed the food prepared for them. The children as well as the teachers sang and danced along to the song “Chan Mali Chan” and “Dragon dance”. The parents and special guests were invited to visit the various booths with their children. All the parents and children were amazed with the wedding ceremonies of the different cultures prepared by the teachers. The children also learn about other cultures and have a better understanding of the different races through this meaningful celebration.
